Miraque Hicks

Miraque Hicks got her start working in social work, with displaced youth populations, helping them with job readiness and interview training. Her passion for Recruiting and HR began here. From there, she got her start in HR at Droga5 and an advertising agency in NY. Though she found advertising exciting and fun, she decided to shift her focus to working in tech and helping smaller companies scale. She’s worked at companies ranging in size from 30 to over 1,000 employees and well-known tech companies like MongoDB, Palantir, Hinge ,and One Drop and have rolled out recruiting processes, HR programs, company policies, onboarded new hires, and created DEI programs. What drives Miraque is her love of people and watching them grow and be successful at the companies that they join. She wants to ensure that all people feel included in workplace cultures. Across the board, she has found a few things consistent; the experience of your candidates and your employees is paramount. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is not just a trend but helps shape organizations to be better and creates environments where all people and thrive, and feel supported.
